Things we worry about generally fall into two categories
𝟏. Things we 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 control
𝟐. Things we 𝐜𝐚𝐧 control
We can waste energy and increase our anxiety worrying about the things that fall into No 1. Or instead we can invest that energy into changing and controlling things that fall into No. 2

𝟏. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫:
▪️The queue at Aldi
▪️The American election
▪️What other people think
𝟐. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥
▪️What I do in my spare time
▪️What I listen to
▪️What I read
▪️What I look at on my phone
▪️What I cook
▪️What time I go to bed
▪️Who I give my time to
And there is a 3rd area where we have some control:
▪️Travel / social plans
▪️Family schedule / routine
Once you write down something in the “No Control Over” list, leave your anxiety, worry and emotion about that item on the paper.
